Q & A

Wedding

When should I RSVP?

If you can RSVP upon receiving your invitation, that would be great and extremely helpful for us! To RSVP, click here and type the first and last name listed on your invitation. We kindly ask that you reply before July 15, 2024. Any RSVPs received after this date will be marked as a “no,” and you will be missed! The reason for this is that we must provide accurate guest counts to all of our vendors on time. We hope you understand.

We've made the decision to keep our wedding small and intimate, and our venue is small which unfortunately means we're unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those directly invited. If you've been given a plus one, you'll see their name listed specifically on the invitation.

Can I bring a plus one?

We kindly request that you put away your cell phones and iPads and refrain from taking any photos or videos with them. We hope that everyone will be able to be fully present and enjoy our wedding ceremony. Rest assured, we have a talented team of photographers and videographers capturing every moment. Once we receive the professional photos and videos, we'll share downloadable links with our family and friends so you can cherish the memories. Thank you for respecting our wishes!

P.S. Feel free to take photos and videos before and after the ceremony; it's just during the ceremony itself that we'd like to remain unplugged.

What does an unplugged ceremony mean?

Our Ceremony and Reception will be Cocktail/ Semi Formal.

Here are styling references for men and women.

What is the dress code for the Ceremony and Reception?

We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride- white, ivories, and creams.

Are there any colors that we should avoid wearing?

travel & stay

Fly into Chiang Mai International Airport. For family and friends flying from the USA, it may make sense to fly into Taiwan first and spend some time in Taipei before going to Chiang Mai.

Which airport should I fly to?

We suggest arriving at least 2-3 days early and/or staying a few days after the wedding to enjoy Chiang Mai. Family is especially encouraged to stay after the wedding as Ann and Ben intend on spending an extra week in Chiang Mai after the wedding with family and close friends.

When should I fly into Chiang Mai and when should I fly out?

Citizens of the United States, Canada, Taiwan, and Hong Kong receive a 30-day visa exemption upon arrival in Thailand.

What are the visa requirements for Thailand?

Please check your passport expiration dates. We strongly recommend that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your arrival in Thailand to avoid potential denial of entry.

Passports

While some areas in Chiang Mai are walkable, the Bolt taxi system provides convenient and affordable transportation. This service can be easily accessed through an app on your phone. A 15-minute ride typically costs around $3 USD.

Money

Please exchange your money either in advance or at the airport, as most venues only accept cash in Thai baht.

Transportation

Despite its small size, Chiangmai provides a wide range of accommodation options to cater to various budgets and preferences. We've categorized a few recommended places according to distance and budget here. However, we encourage you to conduct your own research as Chiangmai offers many quality locations that provide great value.

We'll post some more local recommendations in the months leading up to the wedding! Here is what we have so far.
